The Bluenose (large) is a Canadian fishing schooner out of Halifax, N.S. Canada. Built in 1921, she carried the nickname for the men and their boats hailing from Nova Scotia, Canada. During Prohibition she was used as a rum runner. She was lost off Haiti in 1946, but her picture remains on the back of the Canadian dime.
